NFC’s Saturday Mornings at the Beach

NFC’s popular fly-out beach landing excursions to Vargas Island…  and we’ve got 4 of them planned for 2014. Each, of course, are weather dependent.

2014’s planned outings to Vargas and Nootka Islands are tentatively scheduled to catch the west coast at relatively low, low tides.  Each one of our beach outings begin with a pre-flight briefing at the clubhouse !

Remember, some of the group carry on from Vargas and also land on Nootka Island Beach to check out the beautiful Calvin Falls and the not so hidden “Surfer’s Bar” as well!

Pilots choice! Those folks that wish to return after to home base after Vargas will do so and those wishing to carry on to Nootka will do that too!  

It’s an inter-flying club event…  All other flying club pilots and guests are invited! Everyone is welcome to join in!

Nanaimo Airport – Vargas Island (Alhouse Bay) = 85NM

Vargas Island – Nootka Island (Calvin Falls) = 43NM

Nootka Island – Nanaimo Airport = 122NM

Nootka Island – Tofino Airport = 48NM

Some things… same as before… Bring your own food and refreshments.  Even though a beach bonfire is a given, portable BBQ’s and condiments will be supplied for you to have a great beach brunch. A bucket list item! Questions?  Andrea: 250-713-6213
